Curb Appeal
Start with the outside of your home, also called your curb appeal. Inspect the exterior of your house from a quick glance from the street. What do you notice first? What would've-been-eye-catching characteristics seem waiting to be noticed?
Understanding this helps us to choose what steps we can take to invite buyers from the street and into your house. If your house isn't at its best on the outside with retouched paint and blooming greenery it's time to get those things done. Follow the Curb Appeal Checklist and raise your home's final selling price.

Welcome Home
Can buyers picture themselves hanging out in your living room, reading a good book in your spa tub or getting work done in your home office? We want your Open House to pleasantly accept buyers and give them a sense of easy living. I'll help you accomplish this by suggesting changes that enhance your home's features.
I'll advise you get rid of anything that gives the illusion of clutter. Surface areas like tables, desks and counters should be cleared off. Kitschy sculptures, sentimental items, family photos, and play time works of art should get stored away too. We'll de-clutter your house. Ugly or dirty spaces make your home feel unkempt and buyers have a harder time seeing themselves calling your place home.
I know instantly where a room's best characteristics are and how to show them off. Areas that directly affect your bottom line include easy-to-fix items like furniture pieces that should get rearranged, rooms that need fresh paint, carpet that needs changing, fixtures that need polishing, and windows that need washing
Working together, we'll make sure your house has mass appeal and that it's inviting, staying away from "loud" or "too-bright" colors on the walls and furniture. And if the house is vacant, you can try borrowing furnishings. You want your place to look lived in as opposed to barren.

Setting the Stage
During your Open House, we want to engage the buyer's senses. To counteract darkness is important and we'll draw back curtains, and change light bulbs where needed to invite the buyer inside. We'll enhance the mood of the house with enjoyable music to listen to while guests enjoy your home and assure a nice scent circulates throughout your house. We'll add cozy-looking bedspreads, and pillows on your loveseat and bedding. Buyers should feel like your current place is their future home. |
